He has taught research methods and design and has chaired doctoral dissertation research in addition to teaching classes in organizational development.

Brenda T. McEvoy taught high school English, history, and science for 36 years. Research skills were always part of her curriculum. For eight years, she worked for the California State Department of Education, leading groups of educators in improving their ability to edit and assess student writing. She has also served as a mentor for beginning English and history teachers.

Jennifer Abrams is an international educational and communications consultant for public and private schools, hospitals, universities and non-profits. She trains and coaches teachers, administrators, nurses, hospital personnel and others on successful instructional practices, new employee support, supervision and evaluation, generational savvy, having hard conversations and effective collaboration skills.

Jon Wiles is a highly experienced educator who has provided curriculum leadership to schools and educational agencies for over thirty years. His specialty is the creation and implementation of curriculum plans. Wiles’s work as an educational consultant has taken him to hundreds of agencies in more than forty states and a dozen foreign nations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean.

Irene Guzman has been teaching in the Santa Unified School District for 14 years. She is currently teaching third grade at Heninger Elementary School. She has dedicated her efforts to differentiate the curriculum for gifted English language learners. She has worked closely with teachers to improve support for the specific needs of gifted students in the urban setting. Guzman has worked under the USC Javits Grant as a mentor and a coach.

Julaine E. Field, PhD, LPC, NCC is the associate dean and an associate professor for the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs College of Education. She has been employed as a counseling practitioner since 1992, which includes working as a school counselor, mental health counselor, college counselor, and in private practice.
