Dr. Prather-Smith is a seasoned educator with over 20 years of experience in public education. She currently serves as the Director of Engagement and School Climate, where she focuses on implementing restorative practices to foster positive relationships and resolve conflicts within schools. Prior to her current position, Dr. Prather-Smith was the Senior Director of Migrant Education at the County Office of Education, where she advocated for migrant students and their families.

Germaine L. Taggart is Associate Professor in the College of Education at Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas. She has taught students from kinder­garten through Grade 12 in public schools in Kansas. She received her BS and MS degrees in Elementary Education from Pittsburg State University, her EdS in Educational Administration from Fort Hays State University, and her EdD in Educational Administration from Kansas State University.
