JANIEL WAGSTAFF is a popular national literacy consultant and K-6 English Language Arts Coordinator/Literacy Coach for her school district. She’s been an educator for 26 years and relishes her everyday work with teachers and students. Along the way, she’s written numerous instructional books for teachers and the picture book series Stella Writes.

Lotus Linton Howard, Ph.D., has taught in a variety of elementary school settings, including public, private, inner city, small town, rural and reservations schools. She created and taught for several years in a one-room country school, grades 1-8. Over forty years of teaching she has worked with children from very diverse cultural backgrounds and has observed, first-hand, how culture influences one’s perceptions, cognition, communication and attitudes.

Deborah Rosalea Esparza is a retired teacher, principal and district administrator. In her years as  practicing school leader,  Deborah advocated for culturally responsive instruction for all students in a 21st Century Learning framework.

Jennifer Rose Novak is a mathematics education associate for the Delaware Department of Education. She provides leadership in the implementation of standards-based curriculum, instruction, and professional development in mathematics education to the 19 school districts and the various charter schools in Delaware.
