Kathleen Chamberlain recently retired from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where she was an assistant professor of education and taught courses in curriculum and instruction, educational foundations, and literacy for secondary certification. While at Lycoming College, she also served as assistant dean for teaching effectiveness. She is a former teacher and administrator in K-12 schools.

Mary Ann Blank has spent most of her professional life as a teacher educator at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and as an educational consultant to numerous school systems in Tennessee and other states. Her current work is providing leadership, professional development, and assistance to schools and school systems in the areas of curriculum and instruction, teacher evaluation, and school improvement.

Carol Kershaw has served as director of University of Tennessee’s Urban Impact initiative, which was funded through a federal grant seeking to improve teacher quality. She previously taught English and remedial reading at Fulton High School for nine years.

Jessica K. Parker is currently an assistant professor at Sonoma State University, and she studies how high schools integrate multimedia literacy into academic literacy learning. She has taught middle school, high school and college students for over a decade and has also created and taught professional development courses for teachers.

For over three decades he has taught courses on educational leadership, organizational change, and school reform as well as conducted research on various aspects of public schools.

She has taught all grades, from kindergarten to eighth grade, and has worked extensively with teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies and in developing collaborative communities that maximize learning and human development.

Lori Smith is principal at Cheyenne Mountain Junior High in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has served in public education for 15 years, 9 of which have been in school administration. She began her career as a high school biology and chemistry teacher in 1994 in Colorado. Her work and systematic implementation of RTI at Cheyenne Mountain has led to several state-level presentations, publications, and consultations on RTI implementation.
