Dr. Robert J. Manley graduated from Iona College with a BA in Spanish Language Arts and minors in Philosophy and Education. He completed his MA degree in the Humanities at Hofstra University and his Professional Diploma and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Educational Administration at St. John's University. He taught Spanish language skills and served as an instructor in a New York State Model Humanities program at West Babylon High School.

Lee Shumow is Distinguished Teaching Professor of Educational Psychology at Northern Illinois University. She teaches graduate level courses in adolescent development, family and community partnerships, and research methodology in learning environments. She began her career as a classroom teacher and is dedicated to preparing preservice teachers for middle and secondary school teaching.

His previous book was titled Effective Teacher Learning Practices in U.S. Independent Schools, and he has published over a dozen articles on effective teacher professional learning. He holds a Ph.D.

Jelani Jabari, Ph.D, is the founder and president of Pedagogical Solutions, LLC, an educational consulting firm that transforms classrooms into centers of excellence. Prior to this, he was a middle school administrator for three years and a teacher for 10 years in the Detroit Public Schools. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Evaluation and Research and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction.

Luis Pérez is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Special Education at the University of South Florida. His research interests include technology professional development for teachers, assistive technology, universal design, web accessibility, and disability studies. He also received his M. Ed. degree in instructional technology from USF, where he is on the staff of the Florida Center for Instructional Technology.
