Beth and Ruth have been successfully using their education, personal experience, and passion in children’s social development for over a decade. They found that children were not applying the social skills they had learned into school and community settings. There were few programs dealing with socialization that accommodated children on many different interactive levels.

She was director of an afterschool program and a member of the South Dakota Early Learning Guidelines Panel. Timothy Gangwer is a pioneer in the field of visual learning and a dedicated educator of 26 years. He has served as visual literacy consultant to the Ministry of Education, Paris, France; Ministry of Education, Toranomon, Japan; Mediterranean Association of International Schools, Casablanca, Morocco; Association of International Schools in Africa, Abidjan, Ivory Coast; and as a trainer for the United States Department of Education’s National Diffusion Network.

Rose Reissman is Chief Academic Officer of Mind Lab and Head of the Writing Institute at the Ditmas Education Complex. She is an ongoing classroom public school educator who has successfully taught and continues to teach literacy, project-based learning, special education, gifted and talented students, and ELL students K-12.

David Campos began his career in education more than thirty years ago, when he started teaching second grade. He earned his Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in learning disabilities and behavior disorders. His scholarship focuses on instructional design and delivery, childhood health and wellness, and LGBTQ children and adolescents.

Anne Hanson is a doctor of educational leadership whose research study dealt with the psychological syndrome of burnout in the No Child Left Behind high-stakes testing workplace. A National Board Certified language arts teacher with over 20 years classroom experience, Hanson has worked as a peer evaluator, staff developer, and literacy coach for teachers and students.

In 2008, Louise A. Chickie-Wolfe retired from classroom teaching after 35 years of experience. She taught general education, gifted children, and students with serious learning and behavioral problems. Her experience covers elementary, middle school, high school, and college levels. Chickie-Wolfe has also informed, inspired, and motivated educators and parents at workshops across the country.

Catherine Sambo is vice president of Kinney and Associates where she supervises site-based and field-based staff, provides a leadership role in all sales/marketing presentations, and designs and implements workshops relating to the relationships between curriculum, standards-based assessments, and student achievement.

Sawyer Hunley is an associate professor, the coordinator of the School Psychology Program, and a Learning Teaching Fellow at the University of Dayton. She is chair of the National Certification Board for the National Association of School Psychologists, and was instrumental in revising the procedure for obtaining the National Credential of School Psychologists (NCSP).

Kathy McNamara is a professor of psychology at Cleveland State University, where she directs the School Psychology Specialist degree program. She currently serves as chair of the Ethics and Professional Practices Committee of the National Association of School Psychologists, and has been active in the leadership of the Ohio School Psychologists Association since 1984. She has published chapters on social competence and professional ethics in the NASP Best Practices series.
